.:. if i were a boy .:.
so, i am now awake. been awake since waking up the man for work on this rainy Thursday morning.
these days, insomnia has come to haunt me. i'm awake most of the nights from 3am onwards and i only manage to snooze back to sleep at like 7am in the morning. and then, i'm back awake by 10am, and can no longe nap throughout the day. bugger.
so it was with much gratitude that i was able to sleep through most of the night last night, while it pittered and pattered outside in the west of this little red dot of an island we call home. i love it when i'm able to sleep for most of the night, cos the next morning, i'll be up and about early and i get to get many things done. for instance, i've been up for an hour or so, and i've finished the following chores/tasks:
- wake the man up for work
- make and eat brekkie
- make and watch the man eat HIS brekkie (this rarely happens at all, on weekdays)
- heat up last night's tom yam soup (the daddy made this. my daddy, not my baby's daddy. heh.)
so, see. i get to do loads of things. and i feel uber fresh. :)
i figured since i'm on bed rest and home all day longgggg, i'd try to finish up at least one blog entry a day. i guess it's a comfort zone for me to re-visit so as to keep my sanity. sheesh.
was searching online on blogs written by mommies about their pregnancy journeys and their babies. and i found some pretty interesting ones. i shall continue following them for a week or so, and then maybe post the link up for whoever reads this dusty blog, should they wish to find out more.
in other news, i rediscovered and rekindled my looooove for online shopping. this week alone, i've had three online shopping trips. i call them trips just like how when you go on a shopping trip outside, it's known as a trip, no? mine's just done in the comfort of my bed since well, i need to put my feet up. anyway, i am pleasantly surprised to discover that all the things i bought online have been delivered and recieved within 3 days of purchase. pleased why? cos 1) i did not get cheated off my moolha (yay!), and 2) they get delivered so fast!. best!
so, now, i am on a mission to explore how PayPal works. i've signed up for one, only on like Monday or so. yar, i know. i am sooo slow. sheesh. but the husband swears by this, ever since he started using this system when he started his eBay craze early this year. so, i figured i shall try this out too.
things are looking up in the BedRest World.
i spend most of my days in bed, with my feet up, eating the meds to keep the contractions at bay.
and so, the only time, i really get off the bed is when i go to the loo, when i eat, when i cook so i can eat, and MAYBE, when i watch tv in my parents' room. other than that, i am by default on my bed.
i got kinda depressed when i first had to start bed rest so suddenly. but two weeks into bed rest, i've found my own routine and things are looking up. i get to enjoy baby M's kicks and punches more, and have gone into the habit of reciting the Qur'an and Yasin more. plus, i've started cooking agaon. so, i like that. :)
our last check-up with Dr Su was on Monday, and she informed us that i'll be on meds till my 34th week. after which, she'll let the contractions run its natural course, and if we're lucky, baby M will make his appearance in early Ramadhan. insya-Allah.
i am very much looking forward to this notion, as i've always believed that good, if not, great, things happen during Ramadhan. and so, insya-Allah, ALLAH will grant my wish. :)

and this was when two became soon-to-be three.
